Named for the famed civil rights leader, NAACP leader, and Saint Paul resident, Roy Wilkins Auditorium (previously the St. Paul auditorium until 1985) has had a long history of hosting events since its construction in 1932. Along with its impressive list of performing musical alumni -- The Clash, Nirvana, Ice Cube, the White Stripes -- the 5,000-seat arena also hosts conventions, graduation ceremonies, trade shows, and matches by the local roller-derby brawlers, the Minnesota RollerGirls.
