Palmer's is one of those bars that's just as likely to have a busy Tuesday afternoon as it is to have a packed Friday night. That doesn't necessarily make it a dive, though -- amidst a neighborhood filled with venues offering craft beers and rock shows, it fills a more down-to-earth role as the West Bank's blue-collar neighborhood bar. Amiable staff, an open summer patio and live music by local folk, blues and country notables make it a worthwhile destination.
