One of the few places in the Twin Cities serving Salvadorian food, Manana is a bit non-descript on the outside, but don’t let that fool you--there is mighty fine home-style cooking going on inside those doors. The specialty of the house is the pupusa, a thick corn tortilla stuffed with pork, cheese, or loroco (an edible flower reminiscent of squash). The pupusas are one of the biggest bargains in town, too, setting you back just $2.50. Another highlight at Manana is the spicy slaw served with your meal--vinegary , spicy, and totally divine. Manana also offers lovely entrees like crispy whole fish or falling-off-the-bone chicken served with rice and beans.
