Kingfield could use more restaurants like La Chaya, classy-but-relaxed neighborhood spots to go for appetizers and wine, pizzas and pastas, or Sunday brunch. La Chaya has the dual menu of a Mexican chef who spend several years in the Mediterranean-you might find halibut with pumpkin seed sauce and poblano peppers alongside house-made cannelloni. There's even one hybrid dish, the Mexican pizza, which sounds weird at first, but isn't that different from an open-face burrito.
