Keefer Court Food

Not every bakery counter stocks both almond cookies and sticky rice dumplings. This one does, and the generous portions appear to offer entire meals at $1 to $2 a pop. The in-demand item under glass is the barbecued pork puff, which wraps the meat in golden, soft bread dough. The café also has a big restaurant menu of congee, noodle soups, rice plates, lo mein, stir fry, and seafood at prices around $6 to $15. Keefer does wedding cakes as well, and it has a booming fortune cookie business that expanded production into a factory on Minnehaha Avenue.
