Indeed may be single-handedly responsible for bringing back the notion that it's cool -- nay, preferable -- to drink beer out of an aluminum can, but we still like to go to their taproom and get it straight from the source. Of all the newer Northeast breweries, Indeed draws the most eclectic crowd, fostering the feeling of an artist's studio open house that happens to serve excellent beer. These brewers seem to favor using lots of fresh ingredients in their beers, particularly seasonal ones like the Sweet Yamma Jamma, made with pounds and pounds of sweet potatoes, or their L.S.D, made with local honey. Flagship beers include the floral and bitter Daytripper American pale ale and the resinous, lightly roasted Midnight Ryder, an American black ale.
