The Daily Diner is a brightly lit, cheerfully decorated spot in Frogtown Square. The restaurant is actually an extension of Our Daily Bread, a rehabilitation and job training program operated by Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities, and executive chef Jason Koehn developed the menu with both trainees and diners in mind. Lunch features a tasty club sandwich on sweet cranberry wild rice bread with golden, deep-fried turkey breast and thick planks of seasoned, skin-on potatoes. Appetite not so big? All sandwiches are available in a half-size portion too.
