Caffe Biaggio

Caffe Biaggio is one of the Twin Cities most overlooked restaurants, hiding in plain sight, along University Avenue, just east of 280. The 1930s Specialty Building has always had plenty of vintage charm, with its glass block and chrome detailing on the exterior. But since 2002, when John D'Agostino and Shari Breed covered the walls with original art and hauled in salvaged church pew banquettes, it's become even more lovable. Their homey restaurant serves up the simple but delicious fare of a small Italian trattoria, including bruschetta, pasta, cioppino and more.
