Home to the University of Minnesota’s dance program, the Barbara Barker Center for Dance is full of natural light, breathe-easy architecture, and students getting their dance on. Built in 1999, and nestled in the arts-centric West Bank of the U of M’s Minneapolis campus, the facility boasts top-notch amenities including sprung-floor dance studios, classroom space, and a black box performance hall that seats up to 100 audience members. Largely used for University dance program classes and performances, collaboration and discovery are key to the building’s identity.
