What Was the Question

What Was the Question

Camille LeFevre

This group exhibition of New York-based artists Joshua Abelow, Sadie Laska, MacGregor Harp, and Adrianne Rubenstein brings a batch of renegade talent to the Twin Cities. Harp's graphic-design background gives his work a comic-book feel at times, when it's not morphing into something more delirious. Rubenstein's color blasts can have a Chagall-like feel, or go either more chaotic or more disciplined. Abelow's line drawings are infused with movement. Laska's bold abstractions grip color in a tight fist. The question is irrelevant. The work is the thing. There will be an opening reception from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, August 23.
