Once again, the Walker Art Center will mix high art with low-key American entertainment for Walker on the Green. During the warmer months, a part of the museum's lawn will become a putt-putt course perfect for a family outing, date night, or pre-barhopping shenanigans. Two courses composed of nine holes each will be offered this season. Each hole has been created by a local artist, design team, or organization, such as Kyle Fokken (Snake Bite!), Aaron Dysart (Rock! Garden.), and David Lefkowitz and Stephen Mohring (18 Holes in One). Each course will boast a mix of old favorites from previous years and new challenges, including a hole where friends play foosball with your ball as you try to putt, a hole with a gumball machine, a chicken-coop hole, and a hole that pays homage to Marcel Duchamp's Fountain (a.k.a. the porcelain urinal that provokes the ubiquitous "But is it art?" question of modern art). Hot dogs and beverages will be offered at the Dog House should you work up an appetite, and museum admission is included with the price of mini-golf. The Green will be closed June 20-22 for Rock the Garden.
