3 Redneck Tenors

No, redneck opera isn't an oxymoron. In fact, the culture of the redneck translates quite well to the most dramatic of music forms. Anyone who has seen an episode of Jerry Springer can see that the world of the redneck is rife with betrayal, fightin' words, and family crises. Country, the preferred genre of music for the redneck, often features songs that tell tales of financial woes, redemption in jail, and cheating lovers. Anyone who has watched a NASCAR race knows that the stakes are high; in fact, they are often literally a matter of life and death. Three Redneck Tenors tells a dramatic tale with a wink as Billy Bob, Billy Joe, and Billy Billee take on the epic quest to build a "dream trailer" for their sexy cousin Edna Mae. The play was written by opera veteran Matthew Lord, and was birthed on the (bizarrely) popular America's Got Talent.
