    651-298-9913

http://www.nautilusmusictheater.org Back in 1986, Ben Krywosz founded the New Music-Theater Ensemble in the Twin Cities as a way to explore and present brand-new works in the area. More than 25 years later, the vision continues with Nautilus, which presents workshop and full productions of works where the ink is barely dry, while also offering training and other programs for those involved in the musical theater community. The tight confines of their studio theater space makes for invigorating and intimate performances, such as the award-winning Joan of Arc and the absolutely moving I Am Anne Frank. There have been numerous other productions through the years for Nautilus as well, from Man of La Mancha to Carousel to Songs From an Unmade Bed. The regular Rough Cuts series gives audiences immediate access to pieces of new works, as creators test drive their works-in-progress for the audience. Training wise, there is the annual Wesley Balk Opera/Music Theater Institute, which offers additional training for music professionals -- from performers to directors to coaches. More >>
