http://www.womansclub.org For more than a century, the Woman’s Club of Minneapolis has offered a social venue and meeting place for folks -- both women and men -- looking for a bit of retreat within the city. For most of those years, the club has been located in a gorgeous building across from Loring Park -- a Historic Treasure, in fact, according to the city of Minneapolis. It’s a facility often used by non-club members as well, including for weddings and performances in its spacious, almost cavernous, performing hall. From the Minnesota Fringe Festival to concerts by Ben Gibbard and Laura Marling, plenty of performers have taken advantage of the theater space, while the club itself also offers regularly scheduled talks, lectures, and discussions for club members about a variety of topics.
