    Minnesota Wild

175 Kellogg Blvd. W St Paul, MN 55102
651-602-6000 The Minnesota Wild are a professional hockey team who began playing in the 2000-01 NHL season. The Wild play their home games at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, and are in the Northwest Division of the NHL's Western Conference. The Wild have replaced the dearly missed North Stars, who infamously left Minnesota for Dallas in 1993. The Wild have seen a small amount of success (making the playoffs a number of times while also winning the Northwest Division), but their games are typically a lot of fun, with the “State of Hockey” lending their boisterous support to the home team. Prior to the 2013 season, the Wild were able to sign two of the most sought after free agents, Zach Parise and Ryan Suter, though the NHL lockout dimmed the excitement level, and the team failed to meet the lofty expectations of their fans while getting knocked out of the playoffs in the first round by the eventual Stanley Cup Champions, the Chicago Blackhawks. But the future definitely looks bright for one of the most beloved professional franchises in all of Minnesota. More >>
