  • Theodore Wirth Golf Course

    Theodore Wirth Golf Course

1301 Theodore Wirth Parkway N. Robbinsdale, MN 55422
763-522-4584 Theodore Wirth Golf Course is located just west of downtown Minneapolis in Theodore Wirth Park, the largest regional park in the Minneapolis park system. Wirth is one of the oldest public golf courses in the state of Minnesota, and the mature trees and natural terrain reflects that rich history. The front nine is set around Bassett Creek, with numerous picturesque views of the Minneapolis skyline (including the impressive third hole), while the back nine is heavily contoured and has lots of rolling hills and blind shots that challenge the accuracy and mental toughness of any golfer. (Many golfers rent a cart solely for the back 9!) Wirth also offers an intimate nine-hole, par-three course which is fun for skilled players and novices alike. The gorgeous Clubhouse is modeled after a Swiss ski chalet and is stocked with lots of food and beverage options, as well as an ample amount of golf supplies to get you through your round. It can also be rented out for wedding receptions and parties of any size. More >>

    Town Hall Lanes

    5019 34th Ave. S. Minneapolis, MN 55417
612-767-3354 Town Hall Lanes in the burgeoning Nokomis East area seems to be taking its cue from Italian-American cuisine. Thin-crust pizzas and meatballs are the highlights of the menu, though to be fair the latter does naturally spring to mind when coming up with bowling-related food puns. The Lanes cracker-crisp flatbreads are finished with mostly traditional toppings but are executed well and -- be forewarned -- truly deliver on their spicy promises. More >>

    Tuttle's Eat Bowl Play

107 Shady Oak Road Hopkins, MN 55343
952-938-4090 Nothing says suburban comfort like league night at a bowling alley, especially when that bowling alley is located on a strip of suburbia dating back to the middle of the last century, where the streets are dotted with VFWs and hometown mechanic shops rather than miles of chain restaurants. The family-friendly Tuttle's Bowling Bar and Grill has that vibe, as well as a bar and restaurant, plenty of lanes, live entertainment, karaoke and trivia, and, should you want to entertain friends, a VIP party room.
