    612-337-3865

http://www.nba.com/timberwolves/ The Minnesota Timberwolves are an NBA franchise formed in 1989 who play their home games at Target Center in downtown Minneapolis. The one-time expansion club has suffered through a futile history over the years. Their luck changed briefly during Kevin Garnett's heyday, when KG won the league's MVP in 2004, while leading the team to their only Western Conference Finals (where they eventually lost to the former Minnesota NBA franchise, the Los Angeles Lakers). The Wolves then traded Garnett, the organization's only legitimate superstar, to the Boston Celtics in 2007, and have languished in mediocrity ever since. The team has been plagued by both disastrous draft picks, poor trades, and bad luck -- infamously never moving up a place in the history of the draft lottery -- but with the emergence of Kevin Love and Ricky Rubio and some talented role players, all coached under the steady tutelage of Rick Adelman, the Wolves might have things heading in the right direction in the future. http://www.mntwins.com Minnesota has long been Twins Territory -- since 1961, in fact – and its through their heroics that the Land of 10,000 Lakes has enjoyed some of its most memorable sports moments. Most notably, of course, were those two glorious World Series victories, notched up in 1987 and 1991, and a run of six Division titles from the early 2000s. Of course, the team's history stretches back another century, back its days as the Washington Senators, although the Twinkies themselves built their legacies on the fields of Metropolitan Stadium and the Metrodome. But it was their move to Target Field, in 2010, that truly solidified a baseball game not only as a sporting event, but a place to enjoy the best Minneapolis has to offer. There, you can sample a wide array of local eats, local beers, and occasionally even local music to accompany the baseball game on the field. Packed tightly into the Warehouse District, the ballpark rises from the shadows of legendary First Avenue and the Target Center, with Fulton’s Brewery just a hop-skip away. Target Field also pays homage to that storied past, with the entrance gates marking Twins greats -- Rod Carew, Harmon Killebrew, Tony Olivia, Kirby Puckett, and Kent Hrbek are all immortalized -- and Twins Plaza boasting a beautiful, open walkway. And then there's the field itself, that glimpse of green Kentucky bluegrass, and the sound of cracking bats, all of which can mean only one thing: it’s summertime in Minnesota. More >>

  • Minnesota Vikings

2009 University Ave. SE Minneapolis, MN 55415
    800-745-3000

http://www.vikings.com The Minnesota Vikings are a professional football team formed in 1961, who currently play their home games at the Metrodome in downtown Minneapolis. The Vikings have a long, storied history of painful defeats, including four losses without a victory in the Super Bowl, as well recent collapses in the NFC Championship's in both 1998 and 2009. The Vikings will be moving into a new home in the 2016 season built on the current Metrodome site. For the next two seasons they will play at the Gophers' football home, TCF Bank Stadium. The Vikings are led by current league MVP Adrian Peterson, who miraculously overcame a devastating knee injury to come within 9 yards of setting the NFL's single season rushing record. Hopefully, if the Vikings continue to surround Peterson with some more talent, and the All-Pro running back helps the team christen their new home with years of success and a long-awaited Super Bowl victory. • Minnesota Wild

    Minnesota Wild

175 Kellogg Blvd. W St Paul, MN 55102
    651-602-6000

http://wild.nhl.com The Minnesota Wild are a professional hockey team who began playing in the 2000-01 NHL season. The Wild play their home games at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, and are in the Northwest Division of the NHL's Western Conference. The Wild have replaced the dearly missed North Stars, who infamously left Minnesota for Dallas in 1993. The Wild have seen a small amount of success (making the playoffs a number of times while also winning the Northwest Division), but their games are typically a lot of fun, with the “State of Hockey” lending their boisterous support to the home team. Prior to the 2013 season, the Wild were able to sign two of the most sought after free agents, Zach Parise and Ryan Suter, though the NHL lockout dimmed the excitement level, and the team failed to meet the lofty expectations of their fans while getting knocked out of the playoffs in the first round by the eventual Stanley Cup Champions, the Chicago Blackhawks. But the future definitely looks bright for one of the most beloved professional franchises in all of Minnesota. More >>
