http://www.leaguelineup.com/welcome.asp?url=mattieslanes Mattie's sizable sports bar might serve as a front for what this South St. Paul establishment is really about: bowling leagues. But there's plenty of fun to be had here besides knocking down pins. Pool, pull tabs and TVs make Mattie's an easy place to relax without requiring rental of bowling shoes. If you do decide to lace 'em up, Monday nights from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. provides an absurdly cheap three games and shoes for $9, and then free bowling from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. for those 21 years of age and older. 651-646-1679

http://www.stpaul.gov/index.aspx?NID=1188 Midway Stadium is located on Energy Park Drive in St. Paul, and is the longtime home of the Saint Paul Saints baseball team. The cozy ballpark was built in 1982, and can seat just over 10,000 fans for a baseball game. While the Saints are fighting to get a new home in St. Paul, Midway Stadium's unique history and charm still makes it a noteworthy destination for area baseball fans. Saints games are always a fun time, with plenty of peculiar but memorable promotional events taking place (one example: atheists' night) throughout the season, as well as a high quality of baseball without the size and scope of the Big Leagues. There are plenty of delectable concession areas located throughout the ballpark, as well as lots of room to park outside the stadium. In addition to the Saints, Midway Stadium also plays hosts to a variety of other events throughout the year, as well as live outdoor concerts. More >>
