Visitors can participate and bet on live horse races May through September, with scheduled races offered Thursdays –Sundays and a large outdoor seating area to get good views of the races from all angles. Their website has a simple “how to play the horses” downloadable key to give first-time betters tips and instructions before they first visit the track. Other gambling options include 24-hour table games like blackjack, poker, Texas Hold’em, and more. Simulcast racing is another alternative at Canterbury, where 500 TVs show up-close action from racetracks across the country, with betting available from 10 a.m. to midnight and the option of booking a private table/TV.
