http://www.waterparkofamerica.com Of all the tourist traps around and inside the Mall of America, the Water Park of America is one of the most entertaining. If you want to make a weekend of it, you can stay in the attached hotel, but day passes are an affordable option as well. There’s a wave pool, a lazy river, a hot tub, a big water-based jungle gym for the kids, and a water-jet pool for indoor surfing fun. That’s to say nothing of the several levels of water slides, including body slides and inflatable raft pools. Don’t go on busy days like Memorial Day; the park packs in the bodies and at a certain point it becomes difficult to move around. But the warm water makes for a great mid-winter getaway for frozen Minnesotans. More >>
