Zombie Pub Crawl 9: Quarantine
For the past nine years, the Halloween season has been ushered in with drunk zombies who litter the streets of the Twin Cities like leaves from a tree. While past Zombie Pub Crawls have included activities in both St. Paul and Minneapolis, this year's party will be getting back to basics, stretching from downtown Minneapolis to the West Bank from Seven Corners to the Cabooze. Along the way, there will be plenty to see and do, both outside and in. Bars friendly to the undead this evening include Eagle/BOLT, Republic Pub, Triple Rock Social Club, Palmer's, Town Hall Brewery, and Grumpy's. Amenities in the downtown region will feature an LED-lit Ferris wheel where zombies can ride for free, lawn games, fireworks, food trucks, and Phil, the huge inflatable zombie. There will be plenty of live music as well, like the Ying Yang Twins at the Cabooze, Flock of Seagulls over at the Quarantined Zone (Fourth Street South and Portland Avenue), and Marijuana Deathsquads at the Red Sea. Arrive early; as with any zombie apocalypse, crowds will escalate until the undead are sated (a.k.a. drunk). For more info, visit zombiepubcrawl.com/2013. (Photo by Nicola Losik)
