Winterfest mit Euro Dance Party
The Saint Paul Winter Carnival provides a wealth of winter fun both indoors and out, one excellent example of both being this daylong party at the Germanic-American Institute. From 3 to 7 p.m. folks can have a toasty time outdoors in the snow thanks to a blazing bonfire kept roaring during festivities. Guests will also be able to warm themselves from the inside out as draft beer and Glühwein, a warm mulled wine, will be available for purchase, as well as grilled bratwurst. You'll also be able to entertain yourself playing carnival-style games, and by listening to tunes from Dale Dahmen and the Beats and Spielmannzug Tanzguard. Come in costume; prizes will be given to the best old woman/hag getup. Later, the celebration moves indoors with a Euro Dance Party from 7 p.m. to midnight, where revelers will be able to drink and dance to retro Euro pop tunes from the '70s and '80s spun by DJ Ben.
