Remember Good Charlotte? Remember Less Than Jake? Remember New Found Glory? Remember Reel Big Fish? Remember Sum 41? Remember Yellowcard? Those legacy pop-punk faves will all be in Shakopee for the 2016 Warped Tour, alongside electro partyboys 3OH!3, glam-y metalcore band Falling in Reverse, pop-culture-obsessed pop-punks Four Years Strong, and many other acts your nephew is currently scribbling on his algebra notebook. The Warped Tour has catered to neon-clad tweens and their unfamiliar/unnerving favorite groups in recent years, but this incarnation seems to incorporate plenty of throwback Warped acts from the '90s and early '00s. Our guess? Probably trying to lure parents of said tweens with some nostalgic goodies. The newbies are, of course, well represented. Warped Tour is for the kids, after all. Just get a load of these band names: Chunk! No, Captain Chunk; Saywecanfly; Oceans Ate Alaska; Fat Nick & the Buffet Boys. Holy shit! Nutty stuff. Of local concern: Rhymesayers-signed rap jester Prof appears on several of the national posters, but apparently won't be able to make his hometown stop.
