This Saturday, the Walker Art Center will host its annual open house. The day starts off with the monthly, family-friendly Free First Saturday. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. kids can enjoy art-making activities, grilled-cheese-making demonstrations, a scavenger hunt, and live performances. Adults will be able to find plenty to do as well, such as shopping in the gift store (mnartists.org has a new section) and wandering the open galleries including the museum's newest exhibition, "Graphic Design: Now in Production." Anglophiles will want to be sure to check out the 2011 British Arrows Awards, featuring the best in U.K. advertising (reserve tickets early) and to stop by Gather by D'Amico or the Walker Pub for a pint of beer, traditional cocktails, and British eats.
Sat., Dec. 3, 10 a.m.-8 p.m., 2011
