Volume 1: Through the Lens of Music Photographer Rob Shanahan
Imagine hanging out with Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Keith Richards, and Tommy Lee. Sounds like a blast reserved for some very special folks, right? Native Minnesotan Rob Shanahan has done just that with countless musicians, capturing both the glamorous and personal sides of the industry's biggest stars. After years of producing some of the coolest music pics out there, he's come out with a book featuring some of his best work. Volume 1: Through the Lens of Music Photographer Rob Shanahan reveals that the man isn't just another rock photog hanging around at shows. He's a guy who has been featured in Spin Magazine, and who just happens to run into Mickey Rourke and Avril Lavigne sometimes. He's also currently Ringo Starr's personal photographer (Starr wrote the introduction to the book). Shanahan will be at the Jeune Lune this Thursday to celebrate the release of his book with a signing and gallery exhibition featuring his favorite photographs. (Photo by Rob Shanahan)
