Uniquinox: A Street Festival of the Imagination
Building on the success of last year's festival, Interact Center is bringing back Uniquinox, an event created by staff artist Daniel Polnau and Interact artists with and without disabilities. It's a day full of celebration, food, music, and magic taking place in the North Loop/Warehouse neighborhood of downtown Minneapolis. The event kicks off with a set by Desdemona, and includes musicians Venus DeMars and Fate's Palette. At 2 p.m. you can feast your eyes on the pageant, featuring puppets, masks, tricked-out umbrellas, and bear trainers. Throughout the day you may encounter roving minstrels, face painters, balloon creatures, and lots of food from local vendors such as Taqueria La Hacienda and Aussie's Kebabs.
Sat., Sept. 22, 1-4 p.m., 2012
