If there were an award given out for most titillating music video, Twin Shadow's perversely suggestive clip for "Slow" would've taken the 2010 prize, no contest. None-too-subtly spoofing Calvin Klein's controversial mid-'90s campaign, director Alex Markman favors probing, lingering shots, making for a uniquely discomfiting viewing experience. But those who can get past the image of a heavily perspiring Lewis pounding his drum kit will find much to admire in Shadow's music. Debut full-length Forget on Terrible, the label helmed by Grizzly Bear's Chris Taylor, is a surprisingly sophisticated cornucopia of Britpop past, skillfully interweaving the Smiths, the Cure, and c86. You may have heard it all before—but Forget is nothing if not a welcome reminder. Opening for the Pains of Being Pure at Heart. 18+. (Photo by Samantha West)
