For the next 11 days, the Twin Cities Film Fest will walk celebrities down the red carpet, host movie-making workshops, and screen over 100 films. The schedule includes comedies, like Parker Posey’s The Architect; dramas with critical buzz, such as Moonlight; kids’ fare like Trolls; and insightful documentaries such as My Scientology Movie and The Trans List. Celebs in attendance for Q&A sessions include Laverne Cox (Free CeCe!, The Trans List) and Remy Auberjonois (director of the PTSD drama Blood Stripe, which opens the festival). Don’t be surprised if you find some of these flicks on awards lists come Oscar time; last year Brooklyn and Room took top honors at this festival.
