TU Dance's Spring Concert
Now in its ninth season, TU Dance continues to spread a profound love of dance through classes offered at its St. Paul school and through engaging concerts. This weekend's show includes a premiere by New York choreographer Camille A. Brown, "Make Amends," commissioned by the O'Shaughnessy. "Bold, quicksilver, detailed, and charming to the max," wrote Dance Magazine of Brown's choreography, which makes her work a superb pairing with TU co-artistic director Uri Sands's generous dances. He's premiering two works: three duets under the title "No Middle Name" and a full-company work titled "Escapades." The program also includes Dwight Rhoden's "B Sessions," a lush quartet that illuminates the dancers' personalities. (Photo by Ingrid Werthmann)
