Tony Bennett at 86 remains one of the classiest guys in show biz, charming listeners with vibrant standards and still looking for fresh inspiration. A master of phrasing and intonation, Bennett uses every facet of his warm voice to make tunes he's been singing for over half a century glisten. On Viva Duets, the third in his duets series, Bennett teams up with a dozen Latin artists, some more familiar to U.S. audiences (Marc Antony, Christina Aguilera) than others (Dominican Juan Luis Guerra, Argentinian rocker Vicentico). Bennett draws most into his fine, familiar turf of ballads and big band jazz, mutual respect carrying the pieces to new heights. But on "Return to Me," Bennett joins the world of Mexican ranchera singer Vincente Fernández with dazzling results. Live, expect stories from Bennett's long career, an array of classy classics with the help of a supple quartet, and an opening set from daughter Antonia.
