Earlier this year comedian Tom Segura released his first album, called Thrilled (Rooftop Comedy). Whereas some comics start from scratch after a new release, Segura knows the crowd still wants to hear the familiar hits. "I'm working on a new hour," he explains, "but I don't want to give people an hour of 'Hey, I'm working this stuff out.' There's a good chunk of new stuff in the set, and then there's stuff that's on the album." Most of the material is based on simple daily observations. "I was in Atlantic City a few weeks ago," he reports. "That place is awful. Have you seen Jersey Shore? It's really like that, except that when you're there you can't turn it off." Television actually offers little relief. "Have you seen Steven Segal's show Lawman? It's baffling. In every episode is he's an expert in a new field. He's one those guys that has expertise in everything—'Yeah, I've worked with dogs for 20 years,'—which I think is the most annoying quality in a human being. He makes me crazy." 18+.
