Tim Slagle's sets have always leaned toward political satire. Indeed, many comedy fans might remember him from The Mudslingers Ball on KSTP back in 2000, which he chaired with Will Durst, Lewis Black, Jeff Jena, and host Mike Lukas. A few years back Slagle started to move away from political humor, citing polarization among the electorate. One could argue that it's much worse today, particularly after the debt ceiling fiasco. But judging from his Twitter feed, Slagle has his sword drawn. "Last night the President did his best to help the American economy by giving his speech AFTER the stock market was closed," he tweets. However, it's not all about Washington tomfoolery. "Astronomers discovered a planet made entirely of diamond," he states in another tweet. "Its inhabitants are noted for their hairy chests, satin shirts, and sideburns." As usual, audiences can look forward to sharp, insightful jokes about our current political landscape, as well as our day-to-day lives. 18+.
