Throwback and Summer Video Retrospective
Last summer, Creative Electric studios set up a satellite gallery space on a tiny houseboat docked on the Mississippi. Dubbed the "SS Infinite Regress," the gallery featured an 8 x 10-foot room where the walls were covered with mirrors, the floor was lined with shag, and film projectors looped trippy images from above. The resulting effect (mostly thanks to the mirrors) was a space that was both miniscule and infinite. During its run, three music videos and a dance film were shot in the temporary gallery as well. Phil Harder's 16 mm films feature rock bands the Twilight Hours, Zak Sally (Low), and Typsy Panthre, as well as dance performances by Krista Langberg and Kate Lynch. At this cool Saturday-night party you can check out the resulting films, which will be projected on a loop while the actual bands play live sets in the studio.
