Third Thursday: Totally '90s
For many, the 1990s were pretty rad. The economy was booming, grunge and gangster rap were big, and NBC's Thursday-night lineup was actually pretty great. The Minneapolis Institute of Arts will reflect on the decade for its latest Third Thursday installment. Revelers will be able to test their '90s knowledge with a pop-culture quiz hosted by Trivia Mafia, while TPT will be screening hilariously dated programming from the era (remember Where in the world Is Carmen Sandiego?) and awarding prizes at a Beanie Baby toss. Local vintage shop b.resale will help folks '90s it up at a photo booth, gallery tours exploring the 1890s and the 1990s will be offered, and the Current's David Campbell and Chris Cloud (from the popular Forever Young Dance Party) will be spinning tunes. Feeling thirsty? Summit beer will be available at the cash bar. UPDATE: Event was reschedule due to snow last week.
