The Zombie Carnival

Zombies are perhaps the least glamorous of the monster characters out there. The rotting flesh prohibits them from the sexiness of vampires, their moans and grunts hardly make them intellectual (even Mary Shelley's Frankenstein is bilingual and well-versed in French politics). But these things make horror purists love them all the more. This Saturday, Stevens Square Center for the Arts celebrates all things zombie with a closing party for its exhibit "The Zombie Carnival." Check out the zombie art on the walls, get zombie-fied yourself, or have a zombie caricature drawn. Also at this "dead man's party" will be carnival games, spooky eats, live music, and punch (hopefully spiked with booze, not brains). Admission is $3, with proceeds benefiting the center. 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
