The Vilification Tennis Holiday Special
The improv show "Vilification Tennis" is like real tennis legend John McEnroe without tennis balls or courts, but with his uncontrolled, bile-spewing mouth, and a referee. The insult show that has been a tradition of the Minnesota Renaissance Festival for almost 20 years comes to the Bryant-Lake Bowl for a one-night-only holiday show. Driven by the rule that nothing is off-limits, the performers insult each other in creative ways with the hope of impressing the audience and referee. With jokes such as "Your parents are so fat, when they make love the Clapper goes on and off all night...in the neighbors' house," the holiday performance will no doubt be filled with language more colorful than a Christmas tree. BLB's website describes the show as "More offensive than a pedophile dressed up as Santa Claus. More entertaining than an after-school special about Kwanzaa." With an endorsement like that, easily offended people need not attend.
Saturdays, 10 p.m. Starts: Dec. 15. Continues through Dec. 15, 2007
