The Twin Cities' Roots, Rock, and Deep Blues Festival
Over the past few years, the people behind the Twin Cities' Roots, Rock, & Deep Blues Festival have done a fantastic job assembling a diverse, affordable music lineup that has something for fans of just about any genre. This year, for their 3rd Annual Festival, the fine folks at Patrick's Cabaret, Mosaic Cafe, and Harriet Brewing have put together a wonderful collection of music, beer, food, and fun for their all-day festival on Saturday, July 13. Twenty six bands will be performing over the festival's three outdoor stages and one intimate indoor stage (in Harriet Brewing's tap room), with other entertainment provided by Secret Stash Records DJ's at the Indoor Cooling Lounge, the Jawaahir Dance Company, and artwork on offer from local artisans and Glass Blowers. Beer from Harriet Brewing will be flowing freely at all three outdoor stages, while the Mosaic Cafe will have their full menu available to patrons throughout the festival. There will also be various food truck options provided at Harriet Brewing. The music lineup for this year is a strong one, with the venerable Meat Puppets (pictured) headlining the festival, along with Chastity Brown, Spider John Koerner, Zoo Animal, L'Assassins, Crankshaft & the Gear Grinders, Eleganza, Enemy Planes, Black Audience, the Erik Koskinen Band, and many other area bands, as well as a very special returning headliner from last year.
