Comedy supergroup the Turkeys debuted last year at Comedy Corner Underground. Now they're ready to take things to the next level. The Turkeys is composed of local seasoned standup comedians Gabe Noah, Chris Maddock, Kjell Bjorgen, Isaac Witty, Nate Abshire, Gus Lynch, and Chris Knutson, with L.A.-based video producer Matt Olson. Together, they have created a series of digital sketches that can be found online. The group recently announced that they have landed a distribution deal with My Damn Channel comedy network, meaning clips will be showcased to a much larger audience. To celebrate, they'll be taking a mini-tour through the Twin Cities, airing sketches and performing standup at a variety of clubs and bars. Comedy Corner Underground (1501 Washington Ave. S., Minneapolis; 612-339-4333) will host the party on Friday with shows at 7 and 9:30 p.m. (tickets are $10/$12 at the door), then things move on to the Seville Gentleman's Club (15 Glenwood Ave. N., Minneapolis; 612-465-8777) at 8 p.m. Sunday ($12 tickets), and, finally, they will land at the Water Street Inn (101 Water St., Stillwater; 651-439-6000) on Friday, June 6, at 8 p.m. (tickets are $15). There's also a happening this Thursday at Turbo Tim's, but details have yet to be finalized, so keep an eye out for news on the Turkeys' website, www.turkeyscomedy.net. Over at www.mydamnchannel.com/theturkeys they'll be releasing new vids every other week.
