The No Pants Subway Ride Minneapolis 2012
Do you love being mostly naked from the waist down? Do you love public transportation? If you answered yes to both of these questions, then get ready to be super-psyched. This Sunday, local improv group Plan B MN will be hosting their fourth annual No Pants Light Rail Ride beginning at the Mall of America stop at 1 p.m. Last year's event had 86 pants-less participants, and was immortalized on an episode of the wildly thought-provoking TLC (what does the "L" stand for again?) series Mall Cops: Mall of America, though organizers are quick to point out that the story was misrepresented on camera (the show claimed the participants were trying to enter the mall, though they actually were just meeting there to board the train). The happening, which is being held in conjunction with several other pants-free public transit rides across the country, is free to attend aside from the standard cost of a light rail ticket. While this is a britches-free bash, there are still a few guidelines all riders should be aware of. First, all underwear should be family-friendly so as not to upset any of the more modest light rail riders. Next, while the urge to strip down and feel the breeze between your knees right away may be tempting, everyone is urged to keep their belts securely fastened until after they've boarded the train in order to keep the sexiness contained to the tracks. Oh, and be sure to wear clean underwear.
