Those seeking thrilling escapism this Thanksgiving weekend need look no further than the Trylon. The schedule judiciously opts to omit the fourth installment in the franchise (sorry, Crystal Skull fans) and focus on the widely lauded original three films. Watch as the titular hero narrowly averts an array of gruesome fates as he races Nazis to locate a mythical object capable of biblical destruction (Raiders of the Lost Ark, 1981), liberate enslaved children from a sinister cult (Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, 1984), and square off against fascists thirsting for the immortality-bestowing power of the fabled Holy Grail (Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, 1989). Collaboratively designed by director Steven Spielberg and writer George Lucas as a throwback to the action-packed serials of early cinema, each of the three films is permeated with unforgettable set pieces, astonishing stunt work, and charismatic characters. Evincing an enviable combination of intellectual curiosity and cool tenacity, Harrison Ford established his second iconic role as the globetrotting archaeologist whose field research kit comes fully equipped with a revolver and a bullwhip.
