The Homegrown Experience
As resources become increasingly scarce, sustainability is an urgent matter at hand. At the Homegrown Experience, festival-goers can learn a little more about why this issue is so important, and how they can become part of the solution. The event, hosted by Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board, is now in its third year. Throughout the day there will be sampling and information from a variety of businesses, including Harriet Brewing, Cookie Cart, Northern Vineyards Winery, the Caves of Faribault, and Ajika Spice Store. There will also be several chef demonstrations, with themes ranging from spicing up your dinners to cooking vegan meals, as well as a brief talk on how the Minnesota earth impacts the types of wine being produced in in our state. Come with a healthy appetite. Visit www.thehomegrownexperience.com for more info. 21+.
