The Cutting Edge of Dinosaur Science
Like historians who piece together the history of humanity, paleontologists attempt to assemble clues and scientific evidence to connect the dinosaurs of the past to animals of the present. This Sunday, paleontologist and Macalester College grad Kristi Curry Rogers discusses her research on the connections between dinosaurs with birds of today, and how studying modern species provides insights to creatures of the distant past. Rogers has spent time in laboratories, as well as out in the field studying animal life in Madagascar. The Raptor Center provides training for veterinary students, as well as rehabilitating over 800 hawks, eagles, falcons, and other birds each year. Call to reserve space. $10. 1 p.m.
