The Blind Boys of Alabama
Gospel legends the Blind Boys of Alabama have used their golden years' fame to spread their uplifting tunes to as wide an audience as possible. Their latest effort, I'll Find a Way, finds the soulful stalwarts working with Bon Iver's Justin Vernon in the producer's chair. Vernon opts for an understated presence, with his touch being most evident in the material chosen for the album — close friend Chris Porterfield of Field Report's "I Am Not Waiting Anymore" gets a stirring cover treatment — and the indie-rock-friendly guest list, including tUnE-yArDs' Merrill Garbus. With My Brightest Diamond.
