The Autumn Art-Quinox

Once a brewery space, now a non-residential building filled with artist studios, the Grain Belt Bottling House is once again opening its doors to guests in an art-filled weekend loaded with activities and samplings of creative work. But this is more than just a gallery hop. Though many visual artists will be on hand, there will also be film screenings, dance performances, and live music. And while happenings throughout the three days are too numerous to list in their entirety, some events planned include live music with Jenny Dalton, outdoor film screenings with Matt Gorrie, and readings by Brian S. Ellis on Friday. Saturday features a talk on 19th-century Norwegian immigration as well as performance art and dance by the Default Project. Events take place throughout the entire weekend, but Friday and Saturday appear to be the most active, schedule-wise.
Fri., Sept. 18, 6 p.m.-midnight; Sat., Sept. 19, 12-8 p.m.; Sun., Sept. 20, 12-4 p.m., 2009
