The Atlantis Exhibition
You know that dancing-fish number in The Little Mermaid? This party is going to be nothing like that. And unless he has a really good fake I.D., Flounder will not be in attendance. Instead, the Atlantis Exhibition will feature an underwater, underground-type shindig filled with as many activities and eye-catching people as there are fish in the sea. The featured artist of the evening is Oni Sakti, whose works include nudes in photography, painting, and graphic art. Throughout the night, Virtual Warrior Ink will be creating live art on naked models, turning them into mermaids and other sea-themed creatures. Adding to the ambience will be underwater video projections, an art installation, live music, beer and wine, and prizes. Show up in blue to receive $10 off admission. 18+; 21+ after 10 p.m. (photo by Paul Davidson)
Sat., Sept. 26, 7 p.m.-2 a.m., 2009
