Taste of Stillwater
What does Stillwater taste like? One might imagine a forward smokiness with bright notes of fresh greenery, a deeply satisfying meaty middle, and a bit of an iron-bridge finish. But rather than guessing, why not check out Taste of Stillwater? This Saturday, the beautiful town on the river will roll out the red carpet and share the best it has to offer. Start with some wine from St. Croix Vineyards and Wild Mountain Winery, as both are producing some of the top wines in Minnesota. Then move on to Lift Bridge, whose Farm Girl Saison brew tastes like it was made for summer days (for kids and those not interested in imbibing, they will also be serving root beer). Next, nip a bit of the 45th Parallel vodka, which is so astoundingly icy it's like French-kissing a glacier. The food offerings include Aamondt's apples, cheese from Caves of Faribault, treats from Poorboy Candy, and Rustic Stillwater pies. There will also be food trucks. Trihn Catering will serve sandwiches and bubble teas, and the Waffle Van/Bikery du Nord will serve waffles and coffee. It's a lot to pack into one day, not to mention the live music and artisan vendors. The greatest thing about the Taste is that a portion of the proceeds will aid the hungry in Stillwater.
