In addition to writing Emmy-nominated children's television, Suzanne Collins is best known as the author of The Hunger Games and Catching Fire, a series of dystopian science fiction novels for kids. Newsweek calls them—kid you not—the "best children's books ever." The trilogy concludes with the recently published Mockingjay, which Publishers Weekly praises as "a beautifully orchestrated and intelligent novel that succeeds on every level." The author will be signing (or rather stamping, due to an arm injury) copies of Mockingjay while surrounded by the various cats, birds, and other beasts that make the Wild Rumpus bookstore their home. She will also be visiting the Red Balloon Bookshop earlier at 2 p.m.
