Studio Bricolage: Performance Sculpture: Kinetic Art
For those unfamiliar with the term, "kinetic art" describes works that utilize movement. Some pieces work as onetime performance art, such as falling dominos or a structure carefully set to collapse a certain way. Others, such as a sculpture that sends marbles winding through it in a loop, move for an infinite amount of time. This installment of the monthly Studio Bricolage will invite adults to create their own kinetic piece of art. Led by guest artist Tim Fort, participants will create chain-reaction artwork to take home with them (sure beats the macaroni glued to paper plates kids get stuck with). No reservations or experience are necessary, and food and drink will also be provided. Leonardo's Basement is located under Anodyne Coffeehouse. For more info visit www.studiobricolage.org.
