Who doesn't love a summertime festival, right? People certainly love a strawberry-themed one, as Cottage Grove's Strawberry Festival draws an estimated 15,000 to 20,000 people each year. The park will be full of things to do, including arts and crafts, carnival activities for kids and teens, a beer garden for adults, fireworks, and an auto show. If you think you can consume your weight in pastries, be sure to enter the pie-eating contest. New this year is the Top Chef Competition, where individuals can vie for bragging rights in youth and adult categories for their jams and jellies, appetizers and side dishes, breads, cakes, pies, and main dishes.
