You might find yourself doing a double-take at Altered Esthetics' latest group show, "Straight Trippin'." Here, 35 artists will be examining reality through distorted perspectives in a variety of mediums, such as photography, painting, etching, and sculpture. Some pieces, including Heather Tietz's Sounded Like the Car Wash, will force the viewer to consider what it is they are staring at. Meanwhile, other works, such as Larsen Husby's Hanging State (Massachusetts), reveal their message playfully in their title. Having a "huh?" moment will be half the fun. There will be an opening reception from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, March 1, featuring music from DJ Kevin B Elsewhere, and an artists' discussion panel at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 9.
